Clockwork Orange Spectatorship

Exam Question: 
How far does a spectator's gender affect their viewing experience in contemporary cinema? 

Have to think about: Is the given theme the most significant in the film? Sexuality, gender, race, culture, class, etc.

Clockwork orange is provocative and Intertextuality.

During Home invasion, how is the spectator implicit in the attack?

What are the different point of views/debates?

.Outline and Summarise Spectatorship debates (traditional/oppositional) 
  
.Analyse film sequence using The Mirror Stage, Male Gaze and Oppositional Gaze.

.Create short film for theoretical theme. 

Lacan theory of wanting something that is untainable and desired. If we have something, we are not content with it. We want what we don't have.

The Fight Club

Lives on his own
Lives off his obsession of furniture
Loses identity due to his possessions being taken away from him. Therefore his identity is lost. 
He has nothing left, he has no identity or support system. 

Alignment through common ground. Not gender.
